I picked up some absolutely gorgeous gemstones at the last Gem Faire I attended. It's funny how we are drawn to different things at different times. Usually, I love earthy colors and antiqued metals, but for whatever reason, this time it was all about the sparkle. I found labradorite (of course, it's my all time fave), aquamarine in many colors, natural sapphire and some lovely quartz. I think I am going to make earrings with almost all of these stones, because I personally love a little sparkle near my face.
These earrings are made with some of the aquamarine briolettes and fine silver. That color makes my heart leap a bit.
